Glad the Gators have more continuity than I have.
So many opportunities to post incredible moments live. But alas I have missed them all.
So many asses kicked in the last few weeks.
So much accomplished.
As Tiebow scores his 40th career TD, against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
So much great execution.
So many defensive stops and takeaways.
So many times the name Brandon Spikes is praised.
Now talk begins of maybe Tiebow repeating as Heisman's standard.
And now the defense gets a pick. Gators have the ball.
And now his 41st.
The Heisman is not enough!

The Wait Ends Hard at Neyland

We are either ready or the season possibly begins to fall apart this Saturday in Tennessee. The nation will be focused on the Gators knowing that the Volunteers aren't a national contender this season but not really realizing the depth to which this contest runs in the minds of the coaches and the players. This is the make it or break it game for the SEC Eastern Division early lead.
Unless you're a Gator or a Vol you don't get it.
It does not mean the end because many a choke has happened in the SEC during the final week or two of the conference season. And generally the result put one or the other in the SEC Chompionship.

Yeah I knew that.

Now that that is cemented into College Football HDTV history, let the Gators Eat.
No one said they would be as hungry as the heathen crowd 90,000 strong that came to watch a feeding frenzy of unprecedented proportions.
I was on that bus back to Monty Trainers in Coral Gables when we last ate Ibus with roaring glee.
We beat them, them they went on to win the National championship. That was 35-23 on September 7, 1985. Damn that was a good night at the Old Orange bowl.
I am also very sure that very few watching the game realize the magnitude of the hatred between these two teams when there were yearly wars between two great traditions.
This could be a much closer than imagined contest.

Miami seems to realize it , they are playing with poise.

Wow. The Gators just stuffed a punt through the end zone for a safety,and Brandon James just brought one back for great field position with around fifty seconds before halftime and Urban Meyer is intense. Vincent Van Gator. talk about an intense MF.
But never forget, all you young gators that have never witnessed the carnage this game used to being played in, ........... Miami ........is intense too. Very Intense. Last year will not happen again to the Hurricanes.
Miami has never been a three touchdown underdog before. That's an insult to a great football tradition, especially against the The Gators, or even the Seminoles.
Just wish Holtz would keep his piehole shut. Can't stand the little fucker.

Wow. Two thousand and eight. Tiebow.
Sitting in my double wide, about 5 miles west of I-75. about 10 west of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Tv tuned to the "The Gator Game" and Major Wright just intercepted a pass and took it back for 6. The score is 13- 0 Gators, and after a shaky first Quarter full of penalties and missed opportunities "The Gators" are pouring it on now.
More later I just had to make a new start at this blog, after all I am a permanent secret weapon and that will become more clear as time and vanity allow.
Got to watch the Slaughter in the Swamp now.

Unbelievable! No very believable and all you Gator Nay Sayers I bet you had a blast with the first quarter. Now I bet you are grinding your teeth after that 75 yard Brandon James punt return. Not unbelievable just impeccable. Just a perfect example of Gatornainment.

Anyhow; Hlaf-Time. And it is starting to rain again. If you trace the bands back to their source in the weather pattern you find a character we know little of as of yet, Gustav. But my next concern is Hana. That is the one that looks like, it has some future relationship with Florida. Possibly a strong, intimate, drawn out one. Like Fay. The folks gripe but the Gators roar. All the rain is finally bringing some of the lakes in Alachua county back to a semblance of more than ponds. Some of the docks in the Eastern part of the county are ten feet high and 100 yards from the shore. That's a six or seven foot drop in lakes that are only fifteen feet deep. Lakes in which I once caught 10+ lb. Bass, now have 20 year old oaks growing in their centers.

Forever Gator

In the middle of the Kentucky game right now, Tiebow is a unique phenomena at Florida and that kind of history is a hard commodity to come across......since Emmit Smith I would reckon. Now is a good time to inaugurate a new blog.
And the fourth quarter begins. How the media dances around this season. What a season to dance to.
And we score. Harvin screams 20 for 6, and now we're back up by fourteen.
But I remember right where I was when Buck Belue tossed a little pass to Lindsey Scott.

Every game this year in the SEC has had the ingredients of a great game. You can feel it and it is reflected in the poles. It's too bad some one has to loose or there would a bunch of us in the top 10.
This is the season for the Gators. SC did it's share loosing at home and Fulmer had his ass handed to him by Sabin and is beginning to look even more silly than his obesity makes him seem already.

6:34 to go and 14 point game, with Kentucky any other year would be a comfortable margin but not this year and not this Wildcat team. Five and a half to go.
I graduated from U of F in the fall of 1969, though I should have graduated in 68. 69is cooler anyway, right?

What a game. ..............Kentucky?.....wow..... Wow!
..................... The gators haven't lost to them in twenty years!
